Air Transat and flight attendants reach tentative agreement
Good news to report on the labour front. Air Transat and the union representing its 1,500 flight attendants have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. The agreement now needs to be ratified by the flight attendants. An offer last month from the airline was rejected with over 90 per cent of the union voting against it.

Air Canada has come to an agreement with their customer service and airport staff but another airline is still looking to cut a deal. Air Transat is continuing negotiations with the union representing its 1500 flight attendants on a new agreement.

This is a cool story. Earlier this month three Air Transat flights took a special deviation from their normal routes. This time they weren't heading down into the Caribbean or over to Europe they were heading up to the North Pole.
