Air Canada Vacations adds a trio of Caribbean destinations

Packages to Curaçao, St. Thomas and St. Kitts will be available to book for the upcoming winter season. Curaçao, an island in the southern Caribbean off the Venezuelan coast, will have nine resorts to choose from. St. Thomas is one the US Virgin Islands and Air Canada Vacations and will have eight hotels available there. Air Canada Vacations also has three hotels in St. Croix and one in St. John, other members of the US Virgin Islands.

Air Transat and flight attendants union confident deal can be reached

Air Canada has come to an agreement with their customer service and airport staff but another airline is still looking to cut a deal. Air Transat is continuing negotiations with the union representing its 1500 flight attendants on a new agreement.

By 2050 will we have see-through planes?

Last year Airbus gave us a look into the future with their Concept Plane, this year the company has moved to the inside to present their take on the cabin of the future. Airbus' envisioned cabin of the future will have what the company calls an 'integrated neural network' which will "create an intelligent interface between passenger and plane. It can identify and respond to passenger needs and enables bespoke features such as morphing seats which change to your body shape".

Air Canada customer service employees could hit the picket line Monday

  Air Canada’s customer service and sales staff could walk off the job Monday. The Canadian Auto Workers union which represents the employees and Air Canada have reached an impasse in negotiations. One of the big sticking points is the airlines desire to introduce a different pension plan for new employees according to the CBC. The union could serve their 72 hour strike notice tonight. U.K. building courses where travellers can drive on right hand side of road

In a bid to make North American tourists feel more at home many cities in the United Kingdom plan on building special roads where travellers can drive on the right hand side as they are accustomed to at home. "Making the switch to drive on the left side of the road is hard this will help ease the transition for travellers who rent a car in the United Kingdom," said Alistair Frank Dayton, a British tourism official.
