I just ran across this fascinating website/TV show/ mission…The Buried Life. It’s by 4 young guys from Victoria who in 1996 made a list of the 100 things they wanted to see and do before they died.

The list included simple things like go to Burning Man (a “festival” in the California desert) or ride a bull to complicated like open the 6 o’clock news, tell a joke on late night TV, and get on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine; to really tough like play ball with Obama and go into space!
I have to admit, these are some motivated fellows. Very inspiring! They gathered their money, got a motorhome and went out for their first 2 week tour, doing the first of their list items. From that start, they morphed their mission into helping others as much as crossing things off the list.
4 years later, they have a huge following on YouTube, a successful website and they have a TV show on MTV.
The Frugal Traveler Blog on NYTimes just did a piece on Four Guys and a Bucket List.
